Pre-Conference Training – Tuesday, June 12, 2018

Hands-on interactive training will be offered on Tuesday in half-day workshop sessions (9am -noon, 1pm – 4pm) featuring GIS and IT topics of interest.  Register for one workshop or combine two to make a full day of training.  Pre-conference training workshops include:

    • Introduction to ArcGIS Pro – This workshop will be offered twice, one session in the morning and then repeated in the afternoon
    • Python Scripting for ArcGIS
    • Using Geoprocessing Services with Javascript API
    • What’s New in vSphere 6.5
    • Intro to SQL Server Management and Maintenance

Main Conference – Wednesday, June 13– Friday, June 15, 2018

The main conference features over 50 hours of educational content over the course of 3 days. Each day, a total of 5 simultaneous educational tracks will cover a multitude of topics relevant to geospatial and information technologies. Four of the tracks will be composed of a variety of presentation sessions from professionals, academics and organizations across Iowa.

The ESRI Hands-on Learning Lab is the fifth track and offers exploration of ESRI software and free training with self-paced training sessions (approximately 45 minutes each) featuring recorded presentations, interactive exercises, and on-site instructors to answer questions. Additionally a Demo Lab will feature various vendors from the IT sector to demonstrate their software and answer questions.

Vendor exhibitions will take place Wednesday and Thursday throughout the Primary Ballroom and the Waterfall Atrium.

Join us for fantastic sponsored social events on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.  On Wednesday we will be on-site at the hotel for a fun-filled Game Night!  Be ready to get your “Game On” with this board game extravaganza.  Thursday evening will start out with the Sheraton Sun Deck Happy Hour, followed by the ITAG Banquet. After the banquet we have entertainment from the Dueling Pianos of Andy Anderson & Mike Leeds.  There will also be several additional networking and social opportunities throughout the conference.

Conference registration includes full access to all sessions and events hosted Wednesday through Friday, including all presentations, social events and 5 meals.
